Resolution
2003-129 approved October 21, 2003 reestablished and restructured the
Historic Resources Advisory Committee. Ordinance
2003-010 approved March 11, 2003 provides that Commissioners serve
as a non-voting liaison.
The Committee
shall elect from among its voting members a chairman and a
vice chairman annually at its first meeting in January, or
at its next meeting if no meeting is held in January. A County
Commissioner shall serve as a non-voting liaison to the committee.
Each chair and vice chair shall serve for a one-year term
and may be reelected but shall be limited to two successive
annual terms, at which point they would be ineligible to chair
the committee for at least one year.
The membership
of the HRAC shall be composed of five (5) voting members who
are residents of Indian River County and shall consist of
the following persons:
At least
one (1) Florida licensed/registered architect or engineer
with knowledge of the preservation of historic or archeological
sites and structures.
At least
one (1) member with practical experience in one or more of
the following fields: real estate, planning, finance, engineering,
law, building construction, landscape architecture, historic
preservation or archeological research.
Two (2)
positions shall be comprised of citizens at large with a particular
interest or knowledge of historic and/or archeological preservation,
identification or designation.
The County
Historian so designated by the Board of County Commissioners.
Members
serve a two-year term.
Meetings are held monthly on the third Thursday of the month at 2:00 p.m. at the County Administration Building, 1801 27th Street, Vero Beach, FL in Community Development Conference Room A1-411. |
