Resolution
2003-133  approved October 21, 2003 reestablished and restructured the
Public Library Advisory Board (PLAB). This resolution repeals
and replaces Resolutions 2000-022 , 86-104 , 85-85 and 82-47 . Ordinance 2003-010 approved March 11, 2003 provides that Commissioners serve
as a non-voting liaison.
The Committee
shall elect from among its voting members a chairman and a
vice chairman annually at its first meeting in January, or
at its next meeting if no meeting is held in January. Each
chair and vice chair shall serve for a one-year term and may
be reelected but shall be limited to two successive annual
terms, at which point they would be ineligible to chair the
committee for at least one year.
The Public
Library Advisory Board shall be composed of nine (9) voting
members, each residing in Indian River County, with membership
as follows:
Five
(5) district members (each one of the County Commissioners
shall appoint a member).
Four
(4) members at-large (each one appointed by a majority vote
of the BCC)
Members
serve a two-year term.
Meetings
are held monthly on the second Wednesday of each month at
3:30 p.m. at the County Administration
Building B, 1800 27th Street, Vero Beach, FL in
Conference Room B1-501.
