Ordinance
85-47 dated May 22, 1985, established Section 23.1 C, of the Indian
River County Code of Laws and Ordinances which section established
the Technical Review Committee. The purpose and membership
of the Committee are currently defined under Indian
River County Code of Laws and Ordinances Section 902.10. 
The Technical
Review Committee is empowered to undertake studies and/or
reviews necessary to complete an appropriate analysis of applications
for subdivisions, planned developments (PD's), developments
of regional impact (DRI's), and site plan applications. The
Committee is also empowered to approve, approve with conditions,
disapprove or postpone consideration of certain types of site
plan applications as provided for in Land
Development Regulations Chapter 914. 
The Committee
is made up of staff members representing the Indian River
County Planning Division, Public Works Department, Traffic
Engineering Division, Engineering Division, Utility Services
Department, and the Department of Health. Input may also be
requested from other county divisions and governmental agencies
as needed. The Indian River County Community Development Director
chairs the Technical Review Committee.
The Committee
meets on Wednesdays at 1:30 p.m. at the County Administration
Building A, 1800 27th Street, Vero Beach, FL in
Conference Room A1-411.
Note: Meetings of the technical review committee are staff/applicant
meetings and shall be open to the public. Such meetings shall
not require the notification of those property owners surrounding
the site being reviewed. Members of the public may participate
in technical review committee discussions at the discretion
of the Chairman. |
