The Purchasing Division is responsible for the procurement of various goods and services including but not limited to:

• Materials, Services and Supplies
• Professional Services, i.e.
• Engineering
• Architectural
• Landscape Architectural
• Land Surveying
• Development of Requests for Proposals and Request for Information
• Construction Contracting
• Preparation and Administration of Formal Bidding
• Acquiring Goods and Services via State Contracts
• Establish Annual Contracts through the competitive bidding process
  

The acquisition of products and services are obtained in strict adherence to specific policies and procedures as adopted by the Board of County Commissioners and as may be established pursuant to Florida Statutes.
In addition to the procurement duties, the Division of Purchasing also maintains a central warehouse for distribution of material and supplies on an as needed basis.
