The 2011 Indian River Lagoon Regional Envirothon will be held in our own Indian River County! The big event is scheduled for Friday, February 25, 2011 at the Environmental Learning Center! Check back for details after summer break.

2010 Indian River Lagoon Regional Envirothon
The 2010 Indian River Lagoon Regional Envirothon was held on Friday, February 26, 2010 at the Smith Ranch in Okeechobee, FL..
This year’s Current Event Topic was “Protection of groundwater and competing use for clean water resources”.

Tomorrow’s environmental problems will be more challenging, but the solutions can be more apparent when students are encouraged to become environmentally aware. Students become action-oriented adults who learn where to find the resources needed to develop answers.

Envirothon excites, expands and enhances students’ interest in the environment and our natural resources, affording opportunities to match wits with peers to realize and accept responsibility as stewards of the land.

Envirothon is open to middle and high school students as well as students who are home schooled.
