BMP Inspection and Maintenance
BMPs or Best Management Practices are routinely inspected by Indian River County’s Senior Stormwater Inspector. It is the responsibility of the operator of the construction site to remain in compliance with all regulatory agencies associated with construction activity. Report incidences of noncompliance to the Indian River County Stormwater Division.

Contractor Certification and Inspector Training
The Florida Stormwater, Erosion, and Sedimentation Control Inspector’s Training Course is offered statewide by certified instructors through the Florida Department of Environmental Protection. Indian River County Stormwater Division frequently offers training to the public. If you are interested in becoming a certified inspector contact the Indian River County Stormwater Division or Florida Department of Environmental Protection.
