(SWMP) is to provide current and projected views of the Indian River County
Solid Waste Disposal District's (SWDD) facilities, and to propose a plan of action
for addressing the present and future needs of the Solid Waste Management

Indian River County is working with the Florida Forest Service, Okeechobee District and the Statewide Mitigation Team, to conduct wildfire mitigation on the Sebastian Harbor Preserve located off of Englar Drive in Sebastian in the vicinity of Collier Creek Estates, Laurel Reserve and Sebastian Highlands (Unit 16) and the Wabasso Scrub Conservation Area, North of County Road 510 & 58th Avenue. The work involved will include roller-chopping and mowing fire lines throughout the 165 & 120 acre conservation areas respectively. More Information

“All Aboard Florida” Rail Project
FECI introduced a proposal for a high speed rail service known as All Aboard Florida, with passenger service between Miami and Orlando with additional stations in Fort Lauderdale and West Palm Beach. The project has been the subject of extensive local government discussion since its announcement.
