Resolution 2003-131 Adobe Acrobat file dated October 21, 2003 reestablished and restructured the Marine Advisory Narrows Watershed Action Committee (MANWAC). This resolution repeals and replaces Resolutions 89-25 Adobe Acrobat file and 89-152 Adobe Acrobat file. Ordinance 2003-010 Adobe Acrobat file approved March 11, 2003 provides that Commissioners serve as a non-voting liaison.

The Committee shall elect from among its voting members a chairman and a vice chairman annually at its first meeting in January, or at its next meeting if no meeting is held in January. Each chair and vice chair shall serve for a one-year term and may be reelected but shall be limited to two successive annual terms, at which point they would be ineligible to chair the committee for at least one year.

MANWAC shall be composed of a total of fifteen (15) members, each member must be a resident of Indian River County with membership as follows:

One (1) representative of a local environmental organization, such as, but not limited to, the Audubon Society, the Sierra Club or the Florida Defenders of the Environment
One (1) representative of recreational fishermen, preferably a person affiliated with a recreational fishing organization
One (1) representative of commercial fisherman, preferably a person affiliated with a commercial fishing organization
One (1) representative of recreational boaters, preferably, a person affiliated with a recreational boating organization
At least two (2) persons, not necessarily affiliated with a particular user group of the Indian River Lagoon, but who have expressed an interest in the objectives of this committee
One (1) representative from each governmental agency having jurisdiction for land or water management within the Narrows Watershed including the Indian River Farms Water Control District, the Florida Wildlife Commission, the Fellsmere Water Control District; the Indian River County Mosquito Control District and the City of Vero Beach.

Members serve a two-year term.

Meetings are held every other month on the third Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the County Administration Building B, 1800 27th Street, Vero Beach, FL in Conference Room B1-501.
