Beach Nourishment Projects Easements
Indian River County will be constructing three (3) beach nourishment projects over the next two years within the Sector 3, Sector 5 and Sector 7 beach management areas. A portion of the sand may be placed on the beach landward of the Mean High Water Line and seaward of the dune line, which is private property. In order to proceed with the sand fill project on these sections of private property, the County will require a beach management and assessment easement from property owners or Condo Associations of beachfront parcels in the project areas. 2019-2020 Children Services Advisory Committee Request for Proposal
The Children's Services Advisory Committee (CSAC), an advisory committee to the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners, is now accepting applications for the new grant period beginning October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020. Announcement of the 2019/20 Transportation Improvement Program (TIP)
The Draft Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) for FY 2019/20 – 2023/24 is available for public review and comment. The TIP is a multimodal program of federally and state funded transportation improvements. Friday May 3, 2019 at 9:00 A.M. St. Lucie County Community Services 437 N. 7th Street, Fort Pierce, FL 34950. The Treasure Coast HOME Consortium will conduct a public hearing to receive input on its 2019/2020 Action Plan to be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The Plan outlines priorities for the use of approximately $590,000 in federal funds for affordable housing in the upcoming program year (October 1, 2019 – September 30, 2020). The purpose of the hearing is to listen to residents' views about the housing needs, as well as gather ideas for activities the Consortium should consider funding in the next program year.

On November 7, 2018, maintenance of the fire hydrant system in Indian River County began and will continue until September of 2019. The work in the north part of the County is nearly complete and the work has now moved into the central part of the County, which starts around 65th Street. View the full public notice.

Beginning July 9, 2018, maintenance of the hydrant system in the South County area will begin and will continue over the next four months. This area includes SR 60 south to St. Lucie county line. Hydromax, the county's contractor, will be conducting the maintenance program. During the maintenance period, hydrants will be flushed, repaired and repainted. The process of periodically flushing fire hydrants is an important preventive maintenance activity. More Information
During the months of January, April, July, and October of each year, Indian River County will accept applications for amendments to its Comprehensive Plan for any person wishing to change the text of the Comprehensive Plan and/or the land use designation of his or her property, as depicted on the Comprehensive Plan's Future Land Use Map.
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Indian River County has prepared an updated Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Goal for the expenditure of Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funds for Fiscal Years 2018, 2019, and 2020 in compliance with Federal Regulations (49 CFR Part 26.45). Indian River County proposes that 2.2% of all FTA funds that the County will expend in FTA-assisted contracts for each fiscal year will be let to qualified DBE firms. More Information
