Current Human Service programs include food, prescription vouchers, utility or rental assistance, and indigent cremation. In order to apply for assistance, please read carefully the information that follows. If you meet eligibility guidelines and would like to schedule an appointment, you will be required to submit all documentation outlined below. All services are provided by appointment only and are made on a first come first serve basis.
Please be aware that submitting an application for services does not automatically qualify you for assistance. A determination cannot be made until all required documents have been submitted and your file is reviewed. Our office will provide appropriate referrals if we are unable to assist you.
RENTAL or UTILITY ASSISTANCE

Eligibility Guidelines -
You MUST be a resident of Indian River County.
You MUST meet household income guidelines.
You MUST have income to sustain expenses once the emergency has been alleviated.
You MUST not have received assistance within the past 18 months (12 months for FPL).
FOOD ASSISTANCE/PRESCRIPTION VOUCHER
Eligible clients MUST be a resident of Indian River County AND meet income guidelines or be able to document an emergency qualifying situation.

Application Cancellation Policy
Refusal by an applicant to cooperate in providing complete and accurate information during the application process, or any period thereafter or subsequent to receipt of assistance, or to refuse to accept and pursue an appropriate referral to another Governmental or private agency shall subject the application to immediate cancellation.
